The Natural Gas Vehicle Network selects Traffic for digital launch


The Natural Gas Vehicle Network (NGVN) has selected Birmingham digital marketing agency Traffic to develop its new website.

The recently established NGVN promotes the environmental and financial benefits of adopting natural gas technology within commercial vehicles and facilitates collaboration between organisations in the sector.

The NGVN was launched in 2014, in partnership with the Energy & Utility Group ( EU Skills) –  an employer-led membership organisation that helps ensure the gas, power, waste management and water industries have the skills they need now and in the future.

The network was first established to promote the accelerated development of the Natural Gas Vehicle industry in the UK, to provide commercial fleet operators with cleaner fuel technology and to help them meet greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets set by the UK Government and the European Union. The EU has committed to a 10% reduction in CHG emissions across all transportation fuels by 2020, compared with a 2010 base.

There are environmental benefits of gas over diesel, with great potential for natural gas commercial vehicles in the UK through compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The new NGVN website will be the online focal point for attracting and engaging with new and existing members as well as stakeholders.

The site will be supported with a social media strategy to promote the network and create conversation with its audience which includes central and local government, commercial vehicle manufacturers, fuel suppliers, infrastructure owners and logistics companies.
