The challenge

Drive into Burley, one of the prettiest villages in The New Forest, look for the cider barrel by the post office and you’ll find the home of New Forest Cider next door. The company has been trading successfully for over 30 years with a portfolio of 10 brands and in 2012, thought the time was right to review its digital strategy. In 2012 we were approached by New Forest to create a new website to lead its digital presence.

The objectives

• Creating greater awareness and loyalty to the brand portfolio
• Market the onsite facilities to visitors including the accommodation and events
• Increase sales via the online shop
• Increase social media followers and advocates

The solution

We spent some time mapping out how to turn the user experience from theory to reality with sketch pad and pens. The template creative leans on the traditions of the company with classical fonts, soft colouring and a reference image to a traditional cider maker in the header.

Throughout the site the visitor is encouraged to sign up to an e-newsletter, visit the shop and view a gallery of the farm, the accommodation and the cider making facilities.
